Maison & Objet 2020: I’ve been there!

I’ve been living in Paris for a year while I was studying for an MBA in International Management. So, I would not have missed the opportunity to come back for a weekend. Even less when it is to visit Maison & Objet , one of the major design and decoration fair !

The Maison & Objet Fair

Maison & Objet is the international authority for home decor, interior design, architecture and lifestyle. Indeed, it sets the trends through its shows, events and its digital platform. Тhere has been about 84.000 visitors and more than 3000 brands.

Among the visitors, there were many French people, bien sûr! But I was surprised that many visitors were coming from Switzerland and even Russia (1.115 visitors). As a matter of fact, the fair was a huge success!

My Visit

I’ve been to the fair on Saturday and Sunday and it was great to get inspired by trendy design and inspirational lecturers!

Also, it is a great event to network, and I’ve had the opportunity to hand out a few of my new business cards. By the way, this may be how you got to hear about this site :-)

I used my time on the fair to quickly sketch a few booths which I found inspiring. As a result, I posted a few of them on my Instagram feed:

Lines, dots, strokes: sketching in its original meaning. My Opinion

In conclusion, I can really recommend to visit the next edition (there are 2 per year, in January and September). Firstly, you’ll get to see all the latest trends in terms of design, furniture, brands. Indeed, it is a must if you are into interior design or simply like to stay up-to-date of the trends.

On top of that, being at the fair brings your network to a whole new level! Lastly, it is a professional fair, so all other participants are also interested to meet people with similar interest.
